This is from an amazing game called Heroes of Newerth. A game that was made from the creators of the popular Warcraft III mod named DOTA. The characters that you use seem to be in all 3d but all the trees and everything else on the side are in 2nd but they give the illusion that they are in 3d.

 Diablo III is a game I am really excited, It seems like they are making all the textures in this game in 3d. All of the tiles are made up of small 3d images. Like Diablo I and II this creates a "hand painted" effect in the level design which is one of the many reasons I loved the first two games.

In this picture Crysis is trying to show off how insanely powerful their engine is by showing a picture of a house with a ocean and mountain background, and comparing it to how it looks in game. Unlike the other 2 games shown where artist draw out all of the levels by hand first then use maya or some other program to make it in 3d. Crytek went around and took a bunch of photos of objects they wanted in the game then make almost exact replicas in 3d.

I like how the artist made the buildings as

high as the eye can see them. It gives the impression that these people are in a place they have never been to before and they are on their way to an epic adventure. I am not sure what this picture is from but I can imagine that it is from a final fantasy type game.

 This picture is art from the game Star Wars - The Force Unleashed. The artist makes it look as if a tornado came through and grabbing as many stormtroopers as possible. The artist also uses cool colors to get this effect. This artist also makes it so the main protaganist are the vocal point in the picture even though they aren't in the middle.

This is art from the game Neverwinter Nights 2. This artist has this barbarian type guy jumping out of the picture by using light colors around making him look almost 3d. This is a cool picture and would look cool as a screensaver.
